초록/요약
본 연구의 목적은 초기 성인기에 경험하는 대인관계 문제와 자살사고의 관계에서 우울의 매개효과와 대인존재감의 조절된 매개효과를 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 20세 이상 29세 이하 성인 남녀를 대상으로 자기 보고식으로 구성된 온라인 설문을 실시하여 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료를 분석하고자 SPSS 23.0 프로그램을 활용해 빈도분석, 기술통계 분석, 그리고 상관분석을 실시하였으며, SPSS PROCESS (v3.5) macro model 1번, 4번, 14번을 사용하여매개효과 및 조절효과, 조절된 매개효과를 검증하였다. 본 연구의 주요 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 우울은 대인관계 문제와 자살사고의 관계를 부분 매개하였다. 둘째, 대인존재감은 우울과 자살사고의 관계를 조절하였다. 셋째, 대인관계 문제와 자살사고의 관계에서 우울의 매개효과를 조절하는 대인존재감의 조절된 매개효과가 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 의의는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초기 성인이 경험하는 대인관계 문제, 우울 그리고 자살사고의 관계를 통합적으로 탐색했다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 둘째, 초기 성인의 자살사고를 완화하는 보호 요인으로 대인존재감을 제 안했다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 셋째, 국내 초기 성인의 자살 문제에 대한 이해를 확장하는 데 기여하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 마지막으로 제한점과 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 제시하였다.

The present study aimed to examine the mediating effect of depression and the moderated mediation effect of mattering on the relationship between interpersonal problems and suicidal ideation in early adulthood. For this purpose, a total of 300 adults aged 20 to 29 participated in a survey which comprised a self-report type questionnaire, and the data were collected by an online form. The data were analyzed using SPSS 23 and SPSS PROCESS (v3.5) macro. The results showed that, first, depression partially mediated the relationship between interpersonal problems and suicidal ideation. Second, mattering had moderating effects in the relationship between depression and suicidal ideation. Third, the moderated mediation effects of mattering, which moderates the mediating effects of depression, was significant in the relationship between interpersonal problems and suicidal ideation. The significance of this study is as follows: first, this study is meaningful in that it comprehensively explored relationship between interpersonal problems, depression, and suicidal ideation in early adulthood. Second, this study is meaningful in that it proposed mattering as a protective factor to alleviated suicidal ideation in early adulthood. Third, this study is significant in that it contributed to expanding the understanding of the suicide problem of early adults in Korea. Finally, the limitations of this study and suggestions for subsequent studies were presented.
